Frequently Asked Questions

I want to become a pastor, will this course help me?
2001-07-27

Yes, I think it will.

One of the roles as a pastor is to help others grow in their Christian life. This is what this course is all about, learning how to grow closer in our 'walk' with God. This involves two very important things - first of all you need to be seeking God because your congregation will be looking to you as a model and scary enough - they will begin to look like you. Secondly, you need to know the basics of what the Bible says on how to live for God.

I think that is how you will find the course most helpful - personal spirituality and helping others to grow.

You can even use the materials in your classes and sermons if you like. And if you graduate to level 4 you can apply to be an Authentic Walk Leader and you can host Bible studies under the name of Authentic Walk.

In regards to academic acreditation (excuse the big words - it simply refers to being able to apply it to towards a college degree). Authentic Walk is not currently accredited but you could approach your teachers and ask to do it as a Research Project or Directive Study and with some additional work they might grant you credit.
