Part # 2: Know who you are and wash feet by Chris Priebe It was just before the Passover Feast. Jesus knew that it was almost time to die, the Devil was working in Judas to betray Him. And there he was with His disciples - the last meal together. He wanted to show them the fullest extent of His love. Now He knew He had come from God and God had put absolutely everything under His power and soon He would be returning to God. He knew exactly who He was, the King of kings and Lord of lords. And it was for that reason He got up, took off his outer clothing, wrapped a towel around his waist and began to wash the dirty smelly feet of those who called Him Lord.
And this my friend is humility and love. To know exactly who you are and to do things that are far bellow your position. Humility is washing toilets, cleaning up other people mess, washing puke off the floor, picking up dog poop, serving in any way that calls you to get on your knees and help another. This is the way of the master who went so far as to take all your sins on the cross and die so you may be clean to wash others feet.
