Places to See in Belize

Of course the reason you are coming is not to be a tourist but to serve God, but while you are here why not take a little time and enjoy some of the places God has made!

The Mayan Ruins of Lamanai

Only an hour from Blue Creek are the ancient Maya ruins of Lamanai.  In fact more ruins are being discovered every year as the University of Texas runs their base camp out of Blue Creek in the summer.

Chan Chich

Just an hour past Blue Creek is the beautiful resort of Chan Chich. Here ancient undiscovered mayan ruins mark the landscape. Enjoy an afternoon trip and walk on the beautiful grounds.

The Barrier Reef

Belize is home to the second largest living barrier reef in the world.  The government has established several marine preserves off the coast that provide for world-class diving and snorkeling.  One particular spot is called Hol-Chan and it is just off the beaches of San Pedro.  If you go snorkeling there you can swim with nurse sharks and manta rays
